CRC Executive Director Attending Event for Deacons

If you are a deacon in a Christian Reformed congregation in Classis Holland, you will not want to miss a very special event that has been planned just for you by the leadership of Classis Holland and the Holland Deacons’ Conference. The event is for and about CRC deacons on Thursday, February 4 at Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan.  This special evening begins at 6:30pm with a DEACONS APPRECIATION DINNER.

Dr. Steven Timmermans, Executive Director of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, will be attending and sharing some of his thoughts about the important work and role of the Office of Deacon in the CRC.  Immediately following dinner, deacons will be joined by Classis Holland delegates to learn more about the meaning and implications of the changes to the Office of Deacon adopted by Synod 2015 (click on bold underlined text about the decision).  Andy Ryskamp, recently retired Director of World Renew U.S., and Jack Kooyman, Executive Director of the Holland Deacons’ Conference will share information and facilitate a discussion about the changes and the implementation of them at the denominational, classical, and congregational levels.

Please reserve this date and plan on joining us during this special evening for and about deacons. Please submit your reservation by Wednesday, January 20 by sending an email to info@hdccrc.org with your name and the congregation at which you serve as a deacon.

Thank you!
