In addition to supporting the work of deacons and those engaged in diaconal ministry, a significant part of HDC’s ministry includes our work with and support of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The most visible part of this important ministry with these brothers and sisters in Christ is that of providing supportive residential housing for up to 30 men and women with I/DD.
We are committed to making the homes for our sisters and brothers with I/DD–known as My Brother’s and Sister’s Houses–as affordable as possible for those who choose to live in them. That means that in 2016 we need to receive more than $200,000 from private contributions–roughly the difference between what HDC receives from Medicaid/SSI for monthly rent/fees and the actual cost to operate our five homes.
We are only able to continue this important ministry every year by trusting our God to meet this need through generous and faithful financial support from churches, businesses, and individuals like you.
Please consider and pray about making a financial contribution in support of our ministry with and support of adults with developmental disabilities. We are grateful for every donation we receive and hope you will consider becoming a recurring donor.
You can make a secure online donation right now or, if you prefer, send your contribution in the mail to Holland Deacons’ Conference – 272 E. 26th St. – Holland, MI 49423.
HDC also encourages you to consider making a donation in support of our partner ministries, Lakeshore Little People’s Place and Buen Pastor Ministries. To support either or both of these ministries, simply mail your contribution directly to their addresses listed below:
