The Training

Have you heard or read about ABCD or Asset Based Community Development and wondered what it was and how it might help your deacons and church in their work or outreach with the community? The training will be at City on a Hill in Zeeland, MI on Tuesday, December 3. The Trainer

Jay Van Groningen, a long-time friend of HDC and trainer of CRC deacons will be conducting the training. I honestly cannot think of anyone who understands community engagement and transformation better than Jay. In addition to having conducted numerous trainings for deacons, church leaders, ministries, and community organizations on ABCD, Jay is a longtime practitioner and one who continues to live out the principles of an ABCD approach to doing ministry with the community. If your deacons or members of your congregation are interested in learning how to do ministry with your community that makes a lasting positive impact, then you and others from your congregation will benefit from this training.
